David
Buettner, Head Golf Professional
David has played golf most of his life including at University of
Nebraska where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
Prior to joining Talking Rock, David worked as manager of Austad’s Golf
Stores in Lincoln, Nebraska, Iron Eagle Golf Club in North Platte,
Nebraska, North Platte Country Club and Hi-Mark Golf Club in Lincoln,
Nebraska. David has been with Talking Rock since it opened as is
currently going through the PGA accreditation program. Aside from his
warm personality, David’s claim to fame at Talking Rock is shooting the
first hole-in-one on the 15th hole!
Martin Wright, Assistant Professional
Martin was born in Canada then moved to south Florida, at the age of sixteen. He started playing golf at the age of seven, but took a break from the game to pursue football. Martin graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration/Marketing from Valdosta State University in south-central Georgia. It was there he met his wife Jennifer, whom is currently a Major in the United States Air Force. After working in the finance industry for a few years Martin realized that golf was his first love and decided to pursue it professionally. Before Talking Rock, Martin worked at Cardinal Creek Golf Club in Bellville, Illinois while his wife was stationed at Scott AFB. He was recently accepted into the PGA professionals program as an apprentice, and is currently working his way through the self study accreditation program. Martin and Jennifer have been married over nine years now, and welcomed the birth of their first child, Ava Soleil, in October 2007.
Brian Zacharias, Assistant Professional
Brian was raised in a rural Minnesota-South Dakota farming community, growing up with the traditional Midwest values and principles. He moved to Arizona in 1983 and began playing golf at the age of 27. After several years had passed of playing golf, Brian realized that a career in golf would be a great choice. After a couple of seasons in the golf business he took the dive into becoming a member in the PGA, and was elected in 2001. Brian has lived in Prescott since 2000, and enjoys the atmosphere that it has to offer.
